# Guardians

As your team grows it can be hard to ensure that no cards fall through the cracks within your workflow. Hunting down invalid review processes can cost time and cause confusion.

> Guardians are a **[Pro](https://manual.codecks.io/plans/)** feature. The feature can be enabled in the header area of any opened deck.
> Look for the shield icon.

This is why Codecks allows to appoint Guardians for a deck. Producers and Admins can appoint any member of the deck's project as a Guardian by selecting them from the corresponding section.

Once Guardians have been chosen, only they (and Producers of the project and Admins) are able to directly mark a card of this deck as done.

Anyone else has to go through the review process. All guardians will automatically be added to a review. The review flow will be slightly altered for cards within Guardian decks.
Review participants other than the card owner can choose **Approve and leave conversation** (this option exists in every review, not only in Guardian decks). Once every Guardian in the review has left it and at least one of them approved, the card owner — or the last remaining participant — can close the review and mark the card as done.

In addition to the altered review flow, non-Guardians may not reopen done cards (adding a Sub Card to a done Hero Card counts as reopening it), archive, delete or restore cards, or move cards into a different deck.
